Green Thumb Sunday

Raindrops on the smoke bush

Tiny rosettes

Well, here we are, the first Green Thumb Sunday in July and I'm not sorry to see the back of June! It wasn't flaming June but soggy June instead! All the rain has been good for the garden BUT it's been so wet I have hardly been able to get out in the garden at all. The grass is in desperate need of mowing and the weeds are growing really fast.

I hope we see some sunshine in July and a reduction in the torrential rain that has caused so much flood damage in the UK. I feel so sorry for people whose homes and gardens have been ruined by the recent flooding.

Happy gardening everyone!

Happy GTS Julie. Our weather forecast down here still seems a bit dismal for another week; I really hope things brighten up soon...the low light levels are really holding back my cannas, brugmansias and gingers. The fish are enjoying it though!...lol

The raindrops on the smoke bush are just lovely although I have to say I am fed up of wading through water as the floods got to us and my beloved garden. Oh well - the water levels are going down now so lets hope for a lovely July. I have never heard of a smke bush but the leaves are very nive. Can you get this plant in the UK?

I like the rosettes pic. Wish we could have some of your rain!

We could use some of that rain, too! It is in the 90's here every day last week and forecast for this week. Love the rosettes - is it a sedum?

I have both of these in my garden too. My smoke tree was just planted last year so it doesn't have a lot of "smoke" yet.

You may be tired of the rain but I still love the drops on your leaf.
