Green Thumb Sunday

Camelia

This is my first "Green Thumb Sunday" post :) Today we are off to a garden centre to choose a skimmia (I hope I can find the one I want!) Am really looking forward to this visit as Phil is coming too. I also need a big bag of potting compost and something to contain my garlic chives which I'm planning on planting later. Maybe I'll find that little cat statue also...

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

What a beautiful camellia. I know that camellias originated in Tibet or China or some such place but I always think of them as an English flower. They do so much better in your climate. In Australia there are a few places where camellias grow well - some that I know - there are probably others - are the Blue Mountains outside Sydney and the Dandenong ranges outside Melbourne. I do love them. By the way, still haven't got to the beans, though we did do the walk.
